Rolling Stone Premieres New Charity EP + East Coast Tour
Thrilled to announce my new surprise charity EP "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" is premiering over at Rolling Stone today! You can hear a totally reimagined take on Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land," complete with Guthrie's original 1940 lyrics and background vocals contributed by Josh Ritter, by clicking here.
The EP is a limited edition release to benefit the International Rescue Committee's refugee aid efforts around the world, and it includes contributions from musical pals including Nickel Creek's Sean Watkins, Israel Nash, Michaela Anne, Lizzie No, The Mastersons, and Miwi La Lupa. Each copy is signed and numbered in a recycled cardboard sleeve, and all profits are donated to the charity. You can pick up a copy while they last right and read a personal essay from me about it here.
They'll also be available at shows on my upcoming tour, which kicks off tomorrow (June 16) with a very special full band headline set at NYC's Rubin Museum of Art. This EP is a total passion project for a really important cause, so I hope you'll pick up a copy and help spread the word!
